Balancing Deen and Duniya

We as the youth of the modern age are struggling between the battle of the ways of the ancestry and our adaptions from what we've learnt today. We fail to differentiate between what is wrong and where we go wrong with our excessive and extensive use of modern approach.

Where the world demands the right for all to express their opinion, it is also true that this freedom doesn't mean imposing our thoughts on someone.

Where the world demands the right for all to lead their lives as they will, it is also true that we can't overlook the impact of our actions upon others just for ourselves.

Where the world demands for us to move on with the constantly evolving society, it is also true that we shouldn't be leaving behind our basic values in this process.

Where the world demands for us to reach our goals and not give up, it is also true that it doesn't mean we may choose any path regardless of it even being that of evil.

Where it is true the world demands the right for others to not develop opinions about our characters or personalities, it is also true that we can't loose grip over the approaches about our acts that are socially or morally wrong, spread terror or hate, cause disturbance to others who maybe be going through a tough time or are crimes or sins.

All this and much more us just because of two main reasons. We have distanced ourselves from our religion, our faith, our Allah, all that guided us whenever we stumbled down the alleys that led us to obeying the devil. We have lost the will to think about anything and anyone more than just ourselves. It is high time we realise where we went wrong between balancing between the deen (religion) and the duniya (world).
